About this policy

This policy explains how LMJ Accountants Limited and its associated group companies, trading as LMJ Group (“we”, “us”), use cookies and similar technologies on www.lmjgroup.co.uk, and how you can control them.
We use cookies in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and the UK GDPR, as amended by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025. We set non-essential cookies only with your consent, or under an exemption that gives you a free and simple way to opt out.
For how we handle personal data more generally, including your rights and how to complain, please read our Privacy Notice.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Similar technologies, such as pixels, tags and local storage, work in the same way, and this policy covers them too.
“First-party” cookies are set by our site. “Third-party” cookies are set by another provider whose service we use, such as an analytics tool. “Session” cookies are deleted when you close your browser; “persistent” cookies remain until they expire or you delete them.
We group our cookies into four categories:

Cookies we use

The table below lists the cookies set on our website. We review it whenever we change the site.
Google Analytics is loaded through Google Tag Manager. Tag Manager itself does not set cookies, but it loads the analytics tag only after you accept analytics cookies.
We do not currently use marketing cookies. If we add them, we will update this table and ask for your consent first.

Data collected by Google Analytics may be processed outside the UK; see “International transfers” in our Privacy Notice for the safeguards we use. Google’s own use of this data is explained at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Managing your choices

You are in control of every cookie that is not strictly necessary.

Cookie banner. On your first visit you can accept all cookies, reject all non-essential cookies, or choose by category. Rejecting is as easy as accepting.

Change your mind at any time. Use the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent stops new cookies being set; you can delete existing ones through your browser.

Browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site, such as forms and the client portal, from working.

Google Analytics opt-out. You can also install Google’s browser add-on to stop Google Analytics on any website.

We respect your choice for 12 months, after which we will ask again.

Changes and contact

We will update this policy when we change the cookies we use and post the new version here with a new date. If a change needs your consent, our banner will ask you again.
Questions about cookies can be sent to our Data Protection Lead at info@lmjgroup.co.uk, or by post to LMJ Accountants Limited, Basepoint Business Centre, 110 Butterfield, Great Marlings, Luton, LU2 8DL.
